Users will of course have to update their browsers to benefit from the enhanced features.
HTML 5 reduces complexity and dependence on Flex, Flash, Silverlight or building complex javascript tools. Now web designers can use just HTML to make websites with interactive images and animations. Deployment of charts and graphs, gaming components has also become much easier.
Embedding video elements with HTML 5 requires no plugins, or 3rd party software attachments. Database structuring has become simpler too. Something which has been a kind of drawback with traditional HTML, is features associated with forms. HTML 5 offers enhanced form creation abilities.
